Ferrari F430 Specs
Top Speed: 196 mph / 315 kph
0-60 mph; 4 sec
Engine: DOHC 5 / cylinder 4.3 liter V-8

Ferrari F430 supercar is a successor to the older (and slightly overrated) sports car 360 Modena. It features an all-new engine that does not share any components with the 360 Modena's engine. F430 supercar comes in two versions: a Coupe and an open top Spider, the latter being approx. $20,000 more expensive.

As of 28 July 2009 F430's successor has been announced, it's the Ferrari 458 Italia.

Koenigsegg Agera

Koenigsegg Agera Specs
Top Speed: 245 mph / 394 km/h
0-60 mph: 3.1 sec
Engine: 910HP 4.7 Liter

The 2011 Koenigsegg Agera is hailed as the ultimate supercar yet produced by the erstwhile Swedish exotic roadster manufacturer. While certain quarters declare that Koenigsegg have missed out big time on Volvo and Saab, this iconic Swedish car company is taking on a strong position in pushing for the design and development of a supercar that scores high in the aspects of production philosophy, performance and form. Riding at the heels of the smashing success of the Koenigsegg CC by retaining its distinct design concept and original form, this latest masterpiece is expected to be a real showstopper even from a distance with the perfect combination of familiar elements of the CC and fresh additions in both the exterior and interior sections of the Swedish supercar.

The 2011 Koensigsegg Agera sets new standards for high performance sports car giving the Swedish company its enviable position reputation as a marquee player in the exotic supercharged car segment. But the company breaks barrier and performs outside of its comfort zone and is poised to offer premium additions beyond our expectations. The BIG pluses of the Koenigsegg masterpiece include the largest luggage compartment in its class and the innovative removable hardtop can, which redefine the standards of high end supercars and give competition a run for their money.

The Swedish supercar manufacturer is expected to adopt the production program for its 2011 Koenigsegg Agera that runs parallel to the top selling Koenigsegg CCX and Koenigsegg CCXR variants. Koenigsegg celebrates a major milestone with the release of the Agera, topping its 15-year successful run in creating technological marvels that set the standard of performance on the track and on the road. Agera, which is derived from the Greek word "ageratos," is brimming with fresh elements and sharp characteristics in its design concept and performance.

The Company has been able to inject a youthful character that is so unique of the Agera, yet it gives you the familiar elements that are distinctively Koenigsegg. This latest offering by the Swedish company has sent a strong message to all and sundry. In fact, it is determined to stay way up front and ahead of the rest of the pack in more than just the speed. It has dared to break the barriers of performance by going beyond the typical limits of excellence known by the competition.

Automotive experts agree that the 2011 Koenigsegg has been able to retain all the elements that made Koenigsegg a success for the last 15 years, while adding some innovations to provide the Agera a personality that is distinct from its older siblings. So, what are the new things that we can expect from the Agera?

The braking technology of the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera is probably one of the most exciting additions. The braking system is equipped with the proprietary ventilated brakes made of ceramics. It can zip seamlessly at high speed as it draws power from a 4.7 li V8 workhorse engine that is outfitted with modified air flow. The Agera twin engine runs on regular petrol delivering a strong kick of 910 horsepower. The Agera can really burn some rubber as it can reach 62 mph in just 3.1 seconds and 240 mph is just under 9 seconds. The top speed of the Agera is 245 mph. This exotic Swedish speedster also scores some big points in safety as it comes with the latest traction technology giving you unmatched handling and control in various driving styles and road conditions.

The interior of the Agera evokes a stylish character owing to its distinctive Ghost light system. This new lighting system illuminates the control buttons at the dash and center control console using invisible nano tube lights. The billet and the aluminum surface are also illuminated, giving you a clear view of the panel markings and instrumentation symbols. The Agera also features an information screen that deliver on-demand critical information and data such as the Sat-Nav, compass, lap timer and music among others.

The 2011 Koenigsegg Agera features 15.4-inch tires out front and 15-inch rear tires. The front end of the Agera delivers a striking look with its intricate and smooth LED headlights, perky multi-clusters, restyled bumper and new rear light assembly, giving it a whole new stance that is unmistakably futuristic. The body frame of the Agera is 169 inches long, 78.6 inches wide and 44.1 inches high. This exotic supercar total weight is 2832 lbs and provides a ground clearance of almost 4 inches.

While those who love to stay on the fast lane consider the CCX and CCXR as the ultimate choices for super fast sports car, Koenigsegg has gone a step further with the Agera by going for reduced power in favor of top end performance. Koenigsegg really went all out in their latest offering. On top of the commitment in delivering a real racetrack performer, it has also hit the mark creating an exotic sports car that is also a looker on the street as well. The low-slung body configuration of the Agera and its aggressive front pose cuts a sharp silhouette that will definitely be its distinctive mark both on the track and on the road. With its unmatched weight balance and wider front track and its modified track control, the Agera is expected to be at least as swift around the track as the CCX and CCXR.

While Koenigsegg had made no bones about its intention to stick to tradition in the design and development of the Agera, a closer look at this exciting speedster will easily show that there are enough tweaks here and there to make it stand out from its predecessors. This is after all what people are looking for in high-end supercars.

Koenigsegg CCR

Koenigsegg CCR Specs
Top Speed: 242 mph / 390 km/h
0-60 mph: 3.2 sec
0-1/4 Mile: 9 secs @ 146 mph ( 235 km/h)
Engine: 4.7-liter V8 806 bhp

Koenigsegg CCR – the new champion
Koenigsegg CCR is better known as the 'record-breaker'. Yes, the CCR beat the The McLaren F1 supercar, the fastest production car ever built, at Italy's Nardo Prototipo on February 28th 2005, with a breath-taking performance at 387.87 km/h, a 15 km/h increase from the later's past record.

Koenigsegg is an exclusive manufacturer of super sports cars, the latest being the Koenigsegg CCX with a performance speed of 403 km/h. The CC (Competition Coup) led by Koenigsegg is unlikely to be defeated in the near future. The McLaren F1 and Ferrari Enzo supercars still have to come a long way to prove superior in the squad of Production cars. The performance speed of McLaren F1 is 372 km/h and that of Ferrari Enzo is 355 km/h as per the results at Nardo/Prototipo.

Koenigsegg CCR is synonymous with speed. The engineering and design of this sports car substantiate this fact. The aerodynamic body and the lightweight chassis display the main purpose of the vehicle, the speed. The front bumper reminds you the cutting shark with pointed face and deep nostrils. The materials of the body are the lightweight carbon fiber compounds reinforced with Kevlar and aluminum honeycomb. These features ensure the complete safety along with the super speed even in extreme driving conditions. A feather-touch driving experience from Koenigsegg!

Koenigsegg CCR is specially designed considering the tastes of the sporty car customers. The low and broad appearance of the body adds a pleasant feeling of safety; added to this is the fashionably designed semicircular windscreen and organically shaped rear hood. Under roofless driving conditions, the hardtop can be turned to fit under the front bonnet. The whole chassis can be exposed when the hoods and the roof are open; this adds a lot of convenience while inspecting the body.

The most important feature of any sports car is the design of its body. Koenignsegg CCR's body is perfectly symmetrical adding a sense of equilibrium while driving. The gear lever is located at the center point of the supercar. All other important mechanisms are mounted around the steering so as to have a good control over them, and these instruments are visible from the upper spokes of the wheel avoiding unnecessary acrobatics while driving.

A lot more technological additions, such as the cutting edge brakes, new racing shock absorbers, CCR advanced throttle, a monocoque carbonfibre intake plenum, and 19" front wheels, etc., are applied to make Koenigsegg CCR the choice of the leaders.

Thanks to Joachim Nordwall, the designer who made the racing car CCR a champion on the roads. He is fascinated by its compelling 'predator' look with the diamond-shaped eyes searching for the prey. Why not take it out for a hunt?

The drive never ends at Koenigsegg!

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano Specs
Top Speed: 205 mph / 330 km/h
0-60 mph: 3.7 sec
0-100 mph: 6.9 sec
0-1/4 Mile: 11.2 sec

Ferrari has entered the roads with its most powerful V12-engine car, the 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. Amedeo Felisa, Ferrari's Vice General Manager, unveiled the new sports car model at the Detroit Motor Show on the 9th of January 2006 paving a challenging track to its competitors. Fiorano had its first debut in the Geneval Motor Show on February 28,2006. Later, in October 2006, this cute exotic car from the Ferrari family won the ´XIV L´Automobile piĆ¹ Bella del Mondo (The World's Most Beautiful Automobile) award under the category ´Sports cars´ at the Arena Civica in Milan, Italy.

Fiorano, the new flagship model that replaced the 575M Maranello, is a two-seater sports car. The Ferrari 599 derives its name from its 5999cc V12 engine displacement. The GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta, the most famous berlinetta that Ferrari has ever made.

The chassis of Fiorano looks more similar to Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, a four-seater fastback coupe from Ferrari; however, Fiorano has a shorter wheelbase. Also, the front midship arrangement of the Fiorano is quite similar to 612 and with the rear transaxle arrangement, it is able to get the 47/53 front/rear weight distribution.

The bodywork of Fiorano is a new concept from Pininfarina, the designer of Fiorano. Pininfarina, who had designed the Ferrari Daytona of the 1970s, was equipped with a great deal of details prior to the designing of the 599 GTB Fiorano. This all-aluminum sports car is built by deriving the engineering from the Formula One (F1) and focussing all the main objectives such as the performance, safety and comfort.

A lot of modifications are made at the Fiorano's engine in order to fit it in the engine bay. The most poweful Enzo-sourced V12 engine from Ferrari is powered with a traditional 6-speed manual transmission along with the 6-speed sequentail mannual gearbox, also called the F1 SuperFast. The MagneRide active suspension system is another important feature that contributes to a smooth driving experience to this sporty vehicle. The new traction control system, called the F1-Trac, is introduced in Fiorano after deriving inspiration from the F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher.

The flying buttress C pillars and the aerodynamic ducting on the hood and the front wings are the most attractive features of this sporty car. The C pillars redirect the airflow over the lip spoiler provided at the rear decklid and thus ensure much higher stability while driving in adverse conditions.

In a brief period of time, Fiorano has conquered the hearts of sporty car fans as well as the outsiders. It is the first Ferrari that is going to appear in the Gran Turismo videogames series; also it is the first European car to be featured as the cover car in Gran Turismo game.
